Four Little Syllables--NaNoWriMo

You've seen the Pins on Pinterest.
You've heard the chatter.
You've watched the people prepare.

Beware, dear people, Wrimo-ers are there!!

We will retreat to the hidden corners of the Library, to a secret favorite Coffee-shop, or to a secluded cabin in the mountains, (I wish...)

But why are we doing this? For what reason will we hide ourselves for an entire month? And what is NaNoWriMo?

The answer to all of these questions is the same: National Novel Writing Month.

We will spend 30 days writing 1,667 words every day towards our amazing plot ideas, our unique characters, and our haunting plot twists... We will be staying up until the wee hours of the morning, drinking buckets of coffee, forgetting to eat lunch, and immersing ourselves in our own little worlds.

And in our spare time, (haha!! Hilarious!!) we will catch a few Z's, drink more coffee, check our social media for any signs of life, look for inspirational quotes about writing, and then read.

After our 30 days are gone, if we were persistent, we will have around 50,000 words towards a first draft of our soon-to-be novel.

"Just a first draft?" you may think, "These people are crazy!"

Maybe we are... Maybe you are right... But how else would one spend the month of November??

I love comments. Seriously, I love them! Feel free to discuss the post, ask questions, leave a link to your blog, or just make a passing remark about books & coffee...

(But PLEASE keep your comments kind & positive. Advice is fine, but meanness is not. Be sweet like chocolate & loving like Jesus and we will get along splendidly!)
